Custer Health Receives Grant from the Comer Family Foundation

MANDAN, ND, March 28, 2019—Custer Health has received its second grant in the month of March. The health unit was awarded a grant from the Comer Family Foundation in the amount of $8,000 to support staff and supplies utilized through the Mandan Good Neighbor Project. 

The Mandan Good Neighbor Project, North Dakota’s first syringe exchange program, began providing services for clients in January 2018. This program offers disease prevention, harm reduction, education and referral to clients using intravenous drugs.

Custer Health Receives Grant from the Otto Bremer Trust

MANDAN, ND—Custer Health announced that the Otto Bremer Trust has awarded grant funds in the amount of $50,000 to Custer Health. The funds will be used to support the Mandan Good Neighbor Project by supplementing staff time and program supplies, as well as creating a syringe disposal kiosk that will be located in the community.
