The Standing Rock Story: How We Developed a Men's Health Day Program
Standing Rock
The Standing Rock Reservation is large – 90 by 120 miles, or 2.3 million acres – and extends from south central North Dakota to north central South Dakota. It is very rural. There are eight local districts on the reservation and two main Indian Health Service Clinics. One clinic is located in Fort Yates, ND and one in McLaughlin, SD. The large area makes transportation to receive health care services challenging.
