Custer Health Hosting COVID-19 Testing Event in Beulah on July 27

Custer Health will be conducting a drive-through COVID-19 testing event at their Beulah location on Monday, July 27. The testing event is open to all ages, is first-come, first-served and is scheduled to take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., or until testing supplies are exhausted. Testing events are subject to change.

“This will be our first surveillance testing event in Mercer County, and we are excited to bring COVID-19 testing to the community,” said Custer Health Administrator Erin Ourada. “But along with testing for COVID-19, we want to encourage people to follow the universal pandemic precautions: washing their hands often with soap and water, avoid touching your face, maintain 6 feet of distance between yourself and others, cover your mouth and nose when you are around others, cover your cough and sneezes and throw used tissues in the trash, clean and disinfect surfaces frequently and monitor your health daily.”

Local law enforcement has requested that vehicles line up south to north, beginning at 9th Street (Dollar General) prior to the event. Vehicles will enter the Custer Health parking lot from the frontage road. Following completion of testing, individuals will leave the area via Third Avenue.

Pre-registration for this event is available at https://testreg.nd.gov/. This process is not required to be completed in order to receive a test, but is recommended to speed up your overall testing event experience. Please complete the entire questionnaire. Pre-registration does not guarantee test availability.

There is no fee associated with the collection of samples and subsequent COVID-19 tests and an individual’s health insurance is not processed. Response times for receiving test results from these events may vary, depending on the capacity of the testing lab. Custer Health will be reporting positive results within 24-72 hours, while negative results may take as long as five to seven days.

For ongoing response efforts to the COVID-19 pandemic, the North Dakota Department of Health has established a COVID-19 Hotline to help answer your questions. You may call 1-866-207-2880, Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with questions. Please note that individuals needing specific medical advice should contact their healthcare provider.
