Custer Health Concludes COVID-19 Testing Events at Union Cemetery

Custer Health has concluded conducting COVID-19 testing event at Union Cemetery in Mandan. Its final testing event was conducted on Wednesday, February 3.

“We are very thankful for all of the individuals and entities who helped make our COVID-19 testing successful,” said Custer Health Administrator Erin Ourada. “As the need for testing has dropped off in recent weeks, we are transitioning our focus to vaccination events.”

Individuals needing COVID-19 testing are encouraged to visit the North Dakota Department of Health testing events on Morrison Avenue, in Bismarck, from noon to 7 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays. By-appointment testing is also being conducted at the Bismarck State College Armory (1601 Edwards Avenue in Bismarck) on Mondays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Individuals wanting testing must register for an appointment:  https://covidtestingbsc.as.me/schedule.php. COVID-19 testing is also available through many healthcare providers in the region.

Custer Health is following the guidelines set forth by North Dakota Department of Health on vaccination priority groups. All individuals are encouraged to continue practicing universal precautions to keep yourself and those around you as healthy as possible:

  • Practice physical distancing that keeps you at least six feet from other people who are not in your household.
  • Wear a face covering if social distancing is not possible.
  • Wash your hands with soap often. If soap is not available, use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
  • Monitor your health daily and be alert for COVID-19 symptoms.
